22.11.2013The delegation of the Higher School of Economics and Innovation in Lublin (Poland) at the NMU On November 21th, 2013, the NMU was visited by Polish delegation for discussion areas of cooperation between the Faculty of Management of the Institute of Economics and the Graduate School of Economics and Innovation in Lublin. Polish side was represented by experts in the field of economics and international cooperation from the Graduate School of Economics and Innovation in Lublin, namely by Mr. Victor Tsvinar, director of the Center for International Academic and Economic Cooperation and Olga Sakalosh, a specialist in international cooperation. Meetings of the heads of departments of the Faculty of Management, headed by Dean A. Bardas’, and vice-rector for international relations professor A. Shashenko were held.
22.11.201328 – 29 November 2013 in NMU will host the International scientific workshop “Cooperation and international Networking of Universities on responsible natural resource management” 28 – 29 November 2013in NMU will host the International scientific workshop “Cooperation and international Networking of Universities on responsible natural resource management”. In the framework of the cooperation between the National Mining University Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, the BTU Cottbus, Germany and German International Cooperation (GIZ), Germany a joint workshop will be carried out in order to promote the thematic field of sustainable development within the curriculum of higher education, i.e. ‘green curriculum’ and to support the networking and collaboration between partner universities.
On the 18th of November, 2013 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine Mr. Petras Vaitiekūnas will visit the National Mining University to become familiar with the organization of the educational process, scientific potential and university faculty. It is planned to discuss the possibilities of cooperation with higher education institutions of the Republic of Lithuania.
11th of November, 2013. State Higher Educational Institution "National Mining University" was visited by a delegation from the University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland) for holding a meeting with audience of the Center for Ukrainian-Polish cooperation and students from NMU.
Today NMU held a working meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Brazil in Ukraine Antonio Fernando Cruz de Mello and the university leadership during a visit of courtesy of Mr. Ambassador to the Dnipropetrovsk region.
On the 6th of November, 2013 director of the international recruiting and communications of the Emporia State University Stan Verlyust and consultant of entrance and enrolment to the Master's and Ph.D. programs of the Pace University Diane Welch visited National Mining University. Guests were welcomed by Foreign Languages Department, headed by Svetlana Ivanovna Kostritskaya. Representatives from U.S. universities met with undergraduates, master students and postgraduates of NMU and made a presentation of American universities, masters’ and doctoral programs at the Emporia State University and the University of Pace. The meeting resulted the possibility of future cooperation between universities.
31.10.2013Thompson Rivers University (Canada) was presented at the NMU Thompson Rivers University (Canada) was presented at the National Mining University on 29th of October, 2013 within the framework of international cooperation. Presentation was held by professor from this university Mike Henniger and manager of international education programs «SIMPLEX» Angela Boldesku.
Within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the National Mining University (NMU) and the Kazakh National Technical University after K.I. Satpaev (Almaty, Kazakhstan, KazNTU) exchange guests, that are master students of mining courses from the partner university, visited us during the period from 19 to 29 of October, 2013. Their purpose was to have a scientific internship. Guests were received at the Department of Open Cast Mining.
A masterclass for managing e-business office within the bounds of the TEMPUS project «ECOMMIS» took place at the National Mining University. It was conducted by Dmitry OSTROVERKHOV, the project coordinator, researcher of the Technical University of Berlin (Germany) and a specialist in the field of economy.
