28 – 29 November 2013 in NMU will host the International scientific workshop “Cooperation and international Networking of Universities on responsible natural resource management”. In the framework of the cooperation between the National Mining University Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, the BTU Cottbus, Germany and German International Cooperation (GIZ), giz

Germany a joint workshop will be carried out in order to promote the thematic field of sustainable development within the curriculum of higher education, i.e. ‘green curriculum’ and to support the networking and collaboration between partner universities.

The main objective of the workshop is to share and discuss the following topics:

1. Trends and activities related to responsible mining

2. Establishment and strengthening of an international network of universities

3. Promotion of Green curriculum.

The seminar will be attended by Berthold Hansmann from German International Cooperation and Professor Michael Schmidt from Brandenburg Technical University (Cottbus –Senftenberg)
