Information on cooperation with the Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I. Satpaev, Republic of Kazakhstan

State Higher Educational Institution “National Mining University” (NMU) cooperates with the Republican State Establishment “Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I. Satpaev”(Almaty, Kazakhstan) (KazNTU), that is signed in the agreement on cooperation in the field of scientific and technical activities and training of engineers (from 28.02.2012). Under the agreement NMU specialists take part in the implementation of educational and scientific projects, carry out the double supervising of the candidate and doctoral thesis in the field of innovative theories:

• destruction of rock mass by explosion;
• technology and techniques of drilling;
• open pit and underground mining of mineral deposits;
• mining technology;
• scientific fundamentals of the geotechnological quality control of mineral raw materials, etc.

In conjunction with KazNTU, NMU carries out the research that is supported by grants from Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the following topics:

• “A multivariate analysis of the stability of high internal dumps on the basis of numerical geomechanical models under gently sloping and sloping grounds” (Department of Construction and Geomechanics);
  
• “Technology development on effective use of powerful excavator-motor systems in deep careers with the transition to the inner dumps creation” (Department of opencast mining).
